Cookie Policy
Updated July 15, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ManyHandsCare uses cookies when you visit our website or use our web application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information more broadly.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website's owner. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or are deleted.
2. How ManyHandsCare uses cookies
ManyHandsCare uses cookies for two purposes: to keep you signed in as you move from page to page, and to help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
For sign-in, this is commonly known as a "session cookie" or "authentication cookie." Without it, you would be asked to sign in again on every page you visit.
For product improvement, we may associate your session with information about which parts of the Services you use and how often — for example, which features are common, which are rarely visited, and where users get stuck. We use this only to decide where to focus our development effort. It is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
3. The cookies we set
  • Session cookie. Set when you sign in and used to identify your browser session on subsequent requests. It is required for the Services to function. The session identifier is also used to correlate your activity for the first-party product analytics described in Section 2. This cookie is marked secure and HTTP-only, meaning it is only transmitted over encrypted connections and is not readable by JavaScript running in your browser.
  • Remember-me cookie (optional). If you check "Remember me" when signing in, ManyHandsCare sets a persistent cookie so you do not need to sign in again the next time you visit from the same browser. This cookie only stores a random token that identifies your device to our servers; it does not contain your password or any personal information.
  • CSRF token cookie. A security cookie used to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks. It contains only a random value.
4. Cookies we do not use
ManyHandsCare does not set cookies for any of the following purposes:
  • Advertising or ad targeting
  • Third-party analytics services
  • Cross-site tracking
  • Building behavioral profiles for sale or targeting
  • Social media integration
  • Sharing your activity data with third parties
We also do not embed third-party scripts or pixels that would set such cookies on your behalf.
5. Managing cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically block, delete, or be notified about cookies as they are set. Because the cookies described in Section 3 are required for the Services to function, blocking them will prevent you from signing in to ManyHandsCare.
Signing out of ManyHandsCare will clear your session cookie. Clearing your browser's cookies at any time will also clear the remember-me cookie, requiring you to sign in again on your next visit.
6. Mobile applications
The ManyHandsCare mobile applications use the operating system's built-in secure storage to keep you signed in, rather than browser cookies. The purposes are the same as described in Section 2: to maintain your signed-in session so you do not need to re-authenticate on every screen, and to help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
7. Changes to this policy
When there is a material change to this Cookie Policy, we will post a notice on this website at least a week in advance of doing so and, where applicable, contact you directly. Questions about this Cookie Policy may be sent to legal@manyhands.care.
